The Art of Roleplaying

The art of roleplaying is quite fun once you fully understand it. Roleplaying is an art. You don't learn it in a day. It takes time to master it. Perhaps you know how, but your skills need sharpening or maybe you just started out? After reading this guide, you'll finally master this well-loved art that has been going on for quite some time.

Roleplaying: The Basics

The basics of roleplaying are vital to know. Although, roleplaying like this all the time gets really bland and boring, so please spice up EP with the creativity that was born in us ;D

SAMPLE:

Purpleflower padded around camp nervously.

Then, someone else replies:

"Purpleflower what's wrong?" Blackstripe asked, his tail twitching.

Although this is okay to roleplay like so, it doesn't get any interesting. It's fine to roleplay like this when a OCC post is posted, but if you do it all the time, it does get annoying.

Roleplaying: Onto the Details!!:

Roleplaying with detail changes a mood on a roleplay completely. It's important to focus on roleplaying with detail or people will not be sure of what you mean. Want to earn a good rep? Roleplay similar to this, and you'll be well-known and perhaps get whatever you've dreamed of getting via EP.

SAMPLE:

Purpleflower padded into camp with a nervous glance. Today, her leader was stepping down and she'd become Leader. She shuddered at the thought. Would she make a good leader? She padded towards the Warriors' Den and sat down. She began picking her paws, a famous nervous trait of hers.

And then another person replies:

Blackstripe noted Purpleflower's nervous glances. She was going to become leader, her knew, but was completely jealous. He padded next to her and pressed against her in a friendly notion. "Is everything fine?" He asked curiously. Perhaps she'd appoint him deputy?

Roleplaying like so is a lot better looking. Take note in the length. The best roleplay posts are around that length! It is prefered you roleplay like so or attempt to do so! You'll get well-known and people will want you to join their roleplay games!!

TIPS:

1)Only join roleplay if you are going to roleplay! What's the point in signing up for nothing?!

2)Try not to roleplay back and forth, it is very unprofessional and can be considered spam. 3-4 posts back and forth is fine, but anything more is pushing the limit.

3)Do not take roleplays seriously. If someone did something you didn't like, don't roleplay in it! It's just a game!

4)DO NOT pester people to join roleplays/ or roleplay with you. It is very annoying and most likely, they won't roleplay with you.

5) Don't rabidly post. It is very silly looking if your user was the only name on the recent topics. Wait until someone else posts at least.

6) POWER PLAYING. Don't do it. It's when you make your charatcer ultimate. It's very unfair amd annoying, so don't do it! If you don't know, a moderator will help you identify it.
